Maria Bakalova holds a BA degree in Scandinavian Studies (2020) and a MA degree in Linguistics and Bulgarian Language (2021). She is a PhD student at the Department of German and Scandinavian Studies since 2022 and a full-time lecturer since 2024. She teaches courses in practical Norwegian and Danish language and Danish phonetics and phonology. Her research interests are in the fields of phonetics and phonology, morphology and contrastive linguistics.
