Call for Papers – Journal for German and Scandinavian Studies

The Department of German and Scandinavian Studies at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, Bulgaria, invites submissions for the 5^th regular issue of the double-blind peer-reviewed open-access electronic journal Journal for German and Scandinavian Studies.

The Journal publishes fundamental and applied scholarly research in all areas of modern German and Scandinavian Studies – literary studies; linguistics; translation studies; social sciences; history and culture of the German-speaking countries, the Nordics and the Germanic world at large; intercultural communication; multilingualism; philosophy; theatre studies; history of art, and musicology.

We welcome your submissions by June 1, 2025. All manuscripts must be prepared according to the Journal’s Author Guidelines and technical requirements.

Submissions should be sent to the Journal’s email address at JournalGermScand@fcml.uni-sofia.bg in MS Word format (.doc/.docx) in two versions:

• A version prepared in accordance with the Journal’s Author Guidelines.
• An anonymised version, with the author’s name and affiliation removed. Ensure that file identifiers are deleted using the “Inspect Document” function in MS Word.
