Invitation to the anniversary conference “Bulgaria and the Nordic countries – intersections and perspectives. 30 years of Scandinavian Studies in Bulgaria”, 17 – 19 November 2022

On the occasion of the 30^th anniversary of the Scandinavian Studies Section at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, we would like to cordially invite you to participate in our celebratory conference under the title “Bulgaria and the Nordic countries – intersections and perspectives. 30 years of Scandinavian Studies in Bulgaria”.

The event will take place between the 17^th and 19^th of November 2022, in Sofia, Bulgaria, in the Rectorate Building of Sofia University.

The main topics covered by the conference will be Nordic linguistics, the theory and history of Nordic literature, Bulgarian-Nordic relations and intercultural communication, methods and problems in teaching the Nordic languages, and translation to and from the Nordic languages. Papers on related topics concerning other Germanic languages, literatures and cultures will also be considered. The working language of the conference will be English.
