Evgenia Tetimova has been working as a lecturer at Scandinavian Studies Programme at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski since 2002. She is also a head of the MA Programme “Language, Culture and Translation” since 2012. In 2007, E. Tetimova obtained a PhD degree with a dissertation about the translations of the works and the reception of the Norwegian writer Knut Hamsun (1859 – 1952) in Bulgaria. E. Tetimova specialised Norwegian language and literature at the University of Tromsø (2011), the University of Oslo (2013) and the University of Bergen (2014). Her research interests are related to the translations of the works and the reception of Scandinavian writers in Bulgaria, modern methods in foreign language teaching, intercultural communication. She teaches courses in Norwegian language and literature, as well as in translation and reception of Scandinavian writers into Bulgarian.
