Anne Marie Øines holds an MA in Nordic Studies from the University of Oslo, Norway. Her master’s thesis dealt with the work of the Norwegian author Amalie Skram (1995). In 2020 she qualified as an associated professor through her works on picture books for children.
Øines has worked as a lecturer in Norwegian language and literature at The University of South-Eastern Norway from 2007- 2023. She has also taught Norwegian as a second language at Horten Adult Education Centre in Norway for several years. For five years she taught Norwegian language and literature at Hammerfest Upper Secondary School. She has worked as a Norwegian lecturer at the Scandinavian Studies Section of Sofia University ‘St. Kliment Ohridski’ since 2023. She teaches practical Norwegian language.
