Elena Stoyneva obtained a MA degree and a PhD degree in Scandinavian Studies from Sofia University in 2001 and 2021, respectively. She also holds a MA degree in International Economic Relations from University of National and World Economy (2006). She has attended a series of trainings for university teachers in Swedish organised by the Swedish Institute. She joined the staff of Department of German and Scandinavian Studies in 2017 and currently teaches practical Swedish language and Swedish Lexicology and Word-formation. Her research interests focus on lexicology and word-formation, terminology and applied linguistics.
