Maria Bakalova holds a BA degree in Scandinavian Studies (2020) and a MA degree in Linguistics and Bulgarian Language (2021). She is a PhD student at the Department of German and Scandinavian Studies and has been teaching courses in practical Norwegian and Danish language since 2022 (a full-time lecturer in 2024). Her research interests are in the fields of phonetics and phonology, morphology and contrastive linguistics.
